First tied, second won

If the first trick ties and team A wins the second, A wins the hand. The current variant closes there because a third trick cannot change the outcome. This does not mean the tied trick was “one point” for A.

First won, second tied

If A wins the first and the second ties, A wins the hand. If A wins the first, B wins the second and the third ties, A wins: the earliest trick winner breaks the tie.

Three tied tricks

If no trick has a winner, the leader’s team wins the hand. With two initial ties followed by a won third trick, the third-trick winner wins. In partnership play, count each winning seat’s team, not four unrelated individual scores.

The tie is about strength

Two ordinary threes of different suits have equal strength. In teams, a trick ties when both teams share its highest strength. Two tied cards on the same team do not turn that team’s winning trick into a tie.
