The Truco ladder

An unraised hand is worth 1. Truco offers 3; Retruco offers 6; Vale nueve offers 9; Vale partido offers the 24-point target. Raises alternate: the team that proposed the last value cannot simply advance again while the other team holds the response right.

Quiero and No quiero

Accept Truco and then decline Retruco, and the opponent receives 3 because that was the current stake. Declining Truco while the hand was worth 1 awards 1. Accepting a call does not decide the winner; the tricks still decide the hand.

Folding the hand

Folding concedes the current Truco stake. Side-contest points already decided do not disappear because of a fold. Check both the pending call and score before choosing a response.

These are game points

The “bets” in these rules are match points, with no real-money wagering or cash withdrawal. Store coins are for app content and do not replace Truco points. The 24-point score belongs to the game, not a prize wallet.
