1. Looking at only one end

With open ends 1 and 5, [1|6] and [5|2] are both legal. Check both before choosing. The highest tile does not always expose the number you want to keep.

2. Passing to save a tile

Casa does not allow passing when a legal play exists. Preserve a useful combination by choosing among your legal moves, not skipping your turn. Doubles do not authorize new branches either.

3. Counting tiles on a blocked board

A single [6|6] carries twelve pips; [0|1] and [1|2] together carry four. Count pips, then add your partner’s hand. Fewer tiles do not guarantee a lower total.

4 and 5. Forgetting your team and variant

Your partner sits opposite and can win while you still hold tiles. Watch their passes and the ends that favor your team. Before disputing a result, check the variant: Casa gives no capicúa bonus and rotates the lead after the first hand.
