Deal and teams
A double-six set has 28 tiles: every combination of zero through six, including seven doubles. Each player receives seven tiles. Four seats form two teams, with partners opposite. There is no draw pile and no drawing after the deal.
Opening and turn direction
The holder of [6|6] opens the first hand and must play it. On later hands, the lead rotates to the next seat counter-clockwise; that leader may open any tile. Turns follow the same direction.
Play or pass
Match one half of a tile to an open chain end. If the ends are 2 and 5, [2|6] can join the 2 and leave a 6 open. A double does not create a branch. You must play when a legal move exists; pass only when neither end can be matched.
How a hand ends
When a player lays their final tile, their team wins. If no remaining tile in any seat fits either end, the board is blocked. The team with the lower remaining pip total wins; equal team totals award no points.
Points and match
The winning team scores both opponents’ remaining pips. If the opponents hold [6|4] and [3|1], the award is 14. The first team to reach or exceed 100 wins. Casa has no capicúa, opening or pass bonuses.
